Hunting

November started and Tony and I drew elk tags so our elk hunting season began. This was our first time hunting elk with a rifle. This was my first time hunting ever, Tony has hunted for many years. This is the elk that I shot ( all by myself) and I am so proud. He was a 6 x 6. I can't wait to do it again.

Halloween

We had a very busy Halloween this year. Cody had a Halloween party at preschool on Thursday. Cody was a transformer and Brandon was a dragon. We went to a Halloween carnival on Friday at my parent's church. The boys played games and won candy. Their favorite game was the fishing pond (of course, I didn't get pictures of that). Then on Saturday, we headed to Salt Lake to see my sister, Angie and her family. Boston's last football game was that day too, so we watched football and then costumes were put on to trick-or-treat. Here is the gang, Boston, Brooke, Cody and Brandon.Brandon really got into Halloween this year, he just loved trick-or treating.

Fall time

The leaves have fallen and it is time to get ready for autumn and Halloween. Cody and Brandon are so helpful and are helping me gather the leaves in the yard.

On to carving pumpkins, Cody picked this pumpkin and the outside was so hard that I could not carve it, so I drew on a face with black marker, Cody was just thrilled!!!

Here is the pumpkin that I carved.

This a haunted house we decorated (just like a gingerbread house but my dad made out of sugar cookies). Cody did most the decorating and then Brandon ate all the candy off the house later.

My boys

Today we decided to get some yard work done and the boys had other ideas. They wanted to climb the apple tree, eat apples and swing on the swings. Brandon is trying to hide behind the apple tree sneaking an apple off the ground.
They both LOVE the swings.

And here are my three boys smiling for the camera. I love them so much, my life would be empty without them.

It seems we have had a lot of firsts in the last couple weeks. Our lives are changing so much and I am looking forward to all the changes we have yet to come. We are finally getting into a routine since summer is over and I am hoping to have so much fun this fall.

Tony's first bear

Tony has started his archery season and has great success so far. He hit a bear with his bow and arrow on Sunday and by the look on his face you can see that he is so excited. The black bear is pretty good sized and has a unique white pattern on his chest. We are still deciding if we are getting a bear rug or a stuffed bear.

Here is a shot of the bear's paw.

This is Tony with his friends, Ryan and Rex, who helped him haul the bear back to camp. They are all pretty excited.

Tony is still archery hunting for deer and elk. Good luck Tony!!!

Bridget's first elk

Our friend, Bridget, has been successful this archery season. She hit her first elk and is so proud. I am happy for her.
Her husband, Rex and dad, Gary are so happy for her too. Good job Bridget.
